SirJo Cocchi & Balta Bordoy – The Blues Way
An immediate throwback to the reality and tradition of the electric blues language of the 60s and the golden age of Rhythm & Blues, The Blues Way is the new project by SirJo Cocchi & Balta Bordoy: SirJo’s piano and dynamic voice and the raw and true sound of Balta’s guitar have aroused enthusiastic responses both with their duo and quartet performances, including several Festivals (Bilbao, Samaden, Turin) and prestigious clubs (to remember their sold out concert at the Blue Note in Milan in November 2024).
Heads Up!, their first album for Continental Record Services (historic Dutch label) was mixed and mastered in California by the renowed producer Kid Andersen and was greeted by numerous excellent reviews: it has often been described as one of the best Blues albums of 2024.
